I had a conversation with the President of the Hummer Club, a woman by the name of Linda North. You can read her bio here. I also spoke with Mike Morris, their PR Director. It turns out there is an organization called HOPE (Hummer Owners Prepared for Emergencies) with over 200 members who are certified EMTs that respond to crises like the present situation in NO. Neither of them could talk to me for long, because they were preparing to drive to Baton Rouge from the west coast to assist in the ongoing efforts there.
So what are you doing? Aside from casting aspersion on Hummer owners in snarky blog posts?
Geez, Mal, I would love to stay and chat, but I'm off to rescue a gaggle of soldier's pre-baptized infants from the blasphemous tramples of communist homosexual rhinoceri. Text me.
